Customers are our clients' bread and butter. We get it. Our attorney brings the right balance of judicious advocacy and practical business knowledge to help you negotiate, build, and maintain customer relationships.
Tired of negotiating on customer or vendor paper? Need standard terms and conditions? A customized contract template can deliver immediate value.
SUPPLY CHAIN CONTRACTS
We understand the challenges of navigating supplier relationships as a small business. Lack of purchasing power often means negotiating on supplier paper, even when you're the buyer. We help clients maximize their leverage and spot common pitfalls, whether working on client or supplier paper.
The quote "Compromise is the best and cheapest lawyer" is not without merit. We help clients work with opposing parties to avoid litigation or collections, and to memorialize their compromises in enforceable settlement agreements.
Including favorable terms and conditions in RFP/RFI/RFQs is key to strategic sourcing and expediting the contracting phase. We help clients to identify which key legal risks are associated with the sourced goods or services, and to include appropriate legal requirements in the RFP/RFI/RFQ.
OTHER LEGAL MATTERS
We provide support for a number of other common legal matters that small businesses face, including advice regarding organizational structure, corporate governance, certain employee matters, lease negotiations, marketing and press releases, board meeting preparation, and general business legal advice.
OUR SERVICE MODEL
What are “fractional legal services”?
Our model is designed to provide legal support to organizations that have an existing need for general
or project-based legal support, but that only require that support on a temporarily and/or part-time basis.
Think of it as a business’s outside, in-house counsel.
A fractional legal services model might be a good fit for a small business that is not yet ready to hire
an in-house attorney, a business that needs to tackle a specific legal project, or a business that needs to
temporarily fill a gap in its legal team or supplement its existing legal staff.
Fractional legal services are available through a combination of telephone, email, and/or on-site availability.
If you want to explore whether fractional legal services might be a good fit for your company,
contact us to schedule a free 30-minute phone consultation.
ABOUT THE ATTORNEY
Jennifer Presley Pearce
Jennifer Presley Pearce graduated in 2002 from The University of Kansas School of Law. She started her career as a Trial Associate with Thompson & Knight, an international law firm headquartered in Dallas, focusing on commercial litigation and product liability cases.
In 2007, she transitioned to an in-house Legal Counsel role with The Broadlane Group, a healthcare group purchasing organization, where she drafted templates and negotiated supply chain contracts for medical equipment and supplies, IT services, and other goods and services, as well as provided general business legal advice.
Jennifer accepted a role as Commercial Transactions Counsel for FedEx Office and Print Services in 2011, where she performed similar work, taking on additional customer contracting, licensing, and regulatory responsibilities.
In 2013, she transitioned to the role of Global Lead Counsel, Services & Solutions and Procurement at Flowserve Corporation, a global manufacturer of pumps, seals, and valves, where she served as the primary point of contact for all legal matters arising within the international Services & Solutions and Procurement business operations.
She most recently served as Vice President, General Counsel of Legacy Measurement Solutions, a manufacturer of oil and gas measurement equipment, where she was the single point of contact for all legal matters arising within the organization.
Jennifer enjoys working closely with businesses small and large to help accomplish their goals. She views the role of an attorney as a service provider, and believes that a business attorney’s role is to bring solutions to the table to support business growth.
When a client’s legal needs are outside of Jennifer’s core practice areas, she will work to refer the client to a similarly-minded attorney in that area of practice.
Jennifer lives in North Dallas with her husband and three children. She is active with charitable organizations that focus on youth homelessness and foster children, passions that derive from her years as a foster parent.
